Visiting Greystones:

Greystones is a thriving town which originated as a small fishing village at the end of the dart line. It has grown enormously over the past ten years yet still attains a friendly village-type atmosphere and is very picturesque.

The town has a lot to offer with a large shopping centre -the Meridian Mall, which also boasts a successful crafts and food market every Sunday; the funky juice bar named ‘The Happy Pear‘ which sells freshly squeezed juices and wheatgrass shots to perk you up for take away or you can relax outside and watch the passers-by – www.thehappypear.ie

I like to hook up with my four legged pals here at the weekend, especially in the summer – naturally, and I also love the gorgeous food served at the Three Q's ,(Tel:+353 (0)1 287 5477 and now on facebook- visit their profile and become a fan  here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Greystones-Ireland/The-Three-Qs-Restaurant/241341669733

Greystones has a sandy beach (south beach) easily accessed from the main street (over the dart line) and a beautiful harbour walk guaranteed to make you happy to be alive!

To be so easily accessed from the city centre yet living a life of its own it’s no wonder the inhabitants of greystones seem so content!

The north beach is a stony beach and is a popular place for anglers . Greystones Angling Club can be contacted on +353 1 2876115. My human recalls a day out mackerel fishing with her father when she was about the same height as me!! Isn’t she brave?

Various workshops from Film Training to Drumming, Stiltwalking to Dance enable the participants to strut their stuff at the opening parade involving many of Ireland’s premier carnival makers.
