Wicklow Shopping at it's best

It's not unusual to find yourself searching desperately through your mind for a unique and original Wicklow Christmas Gift Idea or indeed a gift at any time- even if its for yoruself! . There are Two main options nowadays to make sure Wicklow shopping doesn't become a chore.

One of them is to shop locally, the other is to shop locally online...

There's no need to head uptown to Dundrum or the city center, no no no, you can find most things you need / like / reallyreally want,  right here in county wicklow- and some unusual gifts too.

I will start with the local wicklow town shops who have joined forces with Wicklow chamber in an effort to localise shopping in Wicklow.

There is quite a variety of shops in wicklow offering anything from outdoor clothing to books to turkeys to engagement rings , honeymoon flights, shoes ( mmm shoes...) and much more.

Here are just some of them...

• Frankie Sports - where I got my super cool all weather anorak- highly recommended!!
• Bridge Street Books - my mum swears by them!
• Donellis Cafe - some lovely food gifts here for the 'jamie' in your life!
• Burke Oil - seriously. If I got oil as a gift I could concentrate on shoes!
• Cullensbutchers- well , we all need a Christmas Turkey - and award winning sausages the next morning!
• Compuworld- where I got this computer on which I type indeed!
• Anne Harris Jewellers - I wish...
• Wicklow Wine Company - some great offers on here at the moment
• Tinakilly House Hotel - a nice break perhaps?

Another Option is to shop Online - But try to buy (Wicklow) Irish where you can

After that I have listed the shops that are located int the Arklow Bridgewater Shopping Centre. So you can view their products online, then go and try them on at the centre!

That's what I do anyway, I have a look to see what kind of stuff is available then make a shortlist of shops to call in to at the Bridgewater Shopping centre Arklow especially on a rainy day!

• Restaurant Gift Vouchers - Bates Restaurant have online gift vouchers coming very very soon!
• Great Idea- Buy them a membership to Greystones Theatre to avail of special offers and concert tickets!
• Jennys Beauty Salon Arklow, also offer gift vouchers and I recommend them highly
