Kilranelagh lodge has its own private fishery consisting of two mountain loughs both loughs have an abundance of wild and reared trout.

Our Guides will not only teach you to fly cast but their skill transfer will almost always guarantee, and generally results in, each angler catching at least one fish. Don’t forget your camera as the smile on the face of a successful angler is a treasure to be remembered forever.

Clay Pigeon Shooting:

Kilranelagh’s shooting school is equipped with a  purpose built high tower and a number of automatic clay pigeon traps which produce sequenced launches of  the most challenging and exciting aerial displays of  clay targets designed to thrill the socks off the novice and experienced shooter alike.

Kilranelagh Shooting School instructors take great care of all our guests and will ensure that nobody goes home without breaking at least one clay pigeon and probably lots more!!

OffRoad & Celtic Challenge:

Our Celtic Challenge offer includes treasure hunts which take our guests tracking through real historical sites, ring forts, grave sites, Battle sites, the theme is a real Celtic experience in a real Celtic environment.

Also included in our program are traditional Celtic games all designed to give a sense of the old Celtic world.

Kilranelagh Lodge also offer off road 4×4 landrover tracks our purpose built event trial will excite every person and is designed to test your skill and determination in an environment that is off road heaven!

Archery at Kilranelagh:

The topography of our Archery range is only surpassed by the breath taking beauty of the surrounding scenery, we use traditional equipment and dress giving a medieval theme to the event. Interestingly our head instructors name is Robin.!!

We have a purpose built catering lodge with log fires and comfortable decor. The lodge includes a large seated balcony overlooking Kilranlough  with views of the surrounding countryside which are surpassed only by  our cuisine which  is renowned for its high quality.

Pheasant, Game, Deer Hunting Wicklow & Wexford

MJ Colfer is based between Wicklow and Wexford and offers private hunting trips for pheasant, game, deer stalking and huting. He has hunting n his blood having started at age 15 and has great local knowledge and experience to share.

Deer stalking:

As he says himself he likes to keep the lodge full of hunter and fishermen as much as possible. They organise deer stalking all over Ireland, for red stag, skia stag, fallow stag etc.

Game Shooting:

They also cater to bird shooters aswell with hunting available for pheasant, woodcock, snipe, duck, pigeon, rabbit and fox, and they also do ferriting for rabbits where hunters can shoot the bolting rabbits from their warrens.

Fishing:

Broomfield Lodge also cater for the Fishing enthusiast with Salmon, Trout and Course fishing pike, breem and such, alongwith deep sea fishing.

"We hunt all over Ireland for deer, Wicklow, the Slieve Bloom Mountains, Kinnity, Kerry, Donegal...We keep a staff of 10 gillies on the books at all times, we can cater to the single hunter or groups of up to 12 hunters at a time.

We have hunting guests come in from all over the world every year. We organise all of the stalking licenses for the hunters, import permits for their firearms and we take care of them from touch down at the airport until we drop them back at the airport.

We have been doing this for the past 17 years and if hunters would like to go to different destinations around the world hunting, we cater to that as well. This is what we do full time and we are serious about what we do.
